However we end up at your door, the experience runs the same way. Every BPM visit means licensed HVAC and plumbing professionals, clear communication, honest pricing, and technicians who respect your home and your time. Here’s what to expect, start to finish.
Tell us what's going on, and we'll get you on the schedule at a time that works for your day.
You'll get a confirmation and an "on the way" notification before your technician arrives — so you're never left guessing or waiting around.
Your technician walks you through what they're going to do and what it costs before any work begins — in plain language, with no pressure.
We complete the job, clean up after ourselves, and make sure everything's running right before we leave.
It usually starts small. A handle that needs a second jiggle. A faint sound of water running after midnight. Then one morning you notice the floor near the base feels a little soft, or the toilet shifts when you sit down, or you open your water bill and the number doesn’t make sense. That’s the moment it crosses from minor annoyance to something that actually needs to get handled.
For a lot of households, the broken toilet is the only one — or the one everyone uses. When that’s the case, the problem is already affecting your day. You’re not looking for a plumbing education. You want someone to come out, look at it, and tell you plainly what’s going on and what it will take to fix it.
The other thing most people are quietly wondering: is this worth repairing, or is the toilet old enough that you’re just buying time? That’s a fair question, and it deserves a straight answer — not a sales pitch in either direction. BPM Heating, Cooling & Plumbing gives you exactly that.
We broke a water pipe while trying to remove our toilet and BPM rearranged their schedule so that they could come help us fix the pipe and remove the toilet. They were professional and extremely helpful!

Matt from BPM came out and took care of business. We just moved into our dream home and noticed a water leak under our master bath. After a runaround from home warranty company, Matt saved the day. He diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes and had it fixed within an hour. Would recommend BPM to anyone and will continue to use them moving forward.

Manufacturer dealer certifications require demonstrated installation quality, verified customer satisfaction ratings, and completed factory training. Premier and Authorized status also unlocks enhanced warranty options on new equipment — terms that aren't available through uncertified installers. The LG Pro Platinum designation is LG's highest contractor tier, covering cold-climate and inverter-driven systems specifically.
When a BPM plumber arrives, the first thing that happens is a look at the actual toilet — not a quick glance, but a real assessment of what’s causing the problem and what condition the rest of the fixture is in. You hear what was found and what the options are before anything is touched.
If it’s a repair — a fill valve, a flapper, a wax ring seal, a supply line — the work gets done that visit in most cases. If the toilet is old enough or worn enough that repair is just postponing the same call six months from now, that’s what you’ll hear. BPM tells you what the system actually needs, not what generates the biggest invoice. When a repair genuinely makes sense, that’s the recommendation. When replacement is the honest answer, you get that instead — along with options at different price points so you can make the decision that fits your situation.
You get the price before work starts. The technician cleans up before leaving. The job is typically done in a single visit.
If you need a replacement toilet, BPM can supply one — you don’t have to source it yourself or make a hardware store run before calling. And if you already have one sitting in a box, they can install that too. Our full plumbing services are available for any related work that comes up during the visit.

We’ve had good experiences with BPM: 2 bathroom renovations and a battery backup sump pump replacement. Had 1 minor issue on a sink drain installed 1 1/2 years ago and BPM made a warranty repair without charge. Quality plumbers – personally and professionally.

Matt was very nice and punctual. He fixed the issue in a matter of minutes and did not try to upsell the issue. Will definitely be referring and using in future.

The plumbing department here is incredible. I have never had such pleasurable interactions with a service tech, someone who is so honest and knowledgable. I highly recommend BPM!

Most toilet problems — running water, a rocking base, a slow leak, a weak flush — are fixable, and many are straightforward repairs. Whether it makes sense to fix depends on the toilet’s age, what the repair costs relative to a replacement, and whether there are signs of larger issues like subfloor damage or a cracked porcelain base. BPM assesses all of that on-site and gives you a straight answer before recommending anything.
Repair costs vary depending on what’s actually wrong — replacing a flapper or fill valve is a minor job, while a wax ring replacement or supply line work takes more time and materials. BPM provides the price before starting, so there are no surprises when the job is done. If you’d like a general range for your specific situation, call and describe what you’re seeing — (240) 200-0887.
Yes — a leak at the base is worth treating as urgent, even if it looks minor. Water seeping under a toilet can damage the subfloor and the ceiling below if there’s a lower level, and that damage is often not visible until it’s become expensive. A failed wax ring seal won’t get better on its own. A few days of waiting can turn a straightforward repair into a larger project that involves flooring or drywall. If you suspect water has already spread, our leak detection and repair service can help identify the full extent of the damage.
A running toilet doesn’t cause structural damage on its own, but it can add meaningfully to your water bill — sometimes hundreds of dollars over a few weeks — and it often signals that other internal components are wearing out. A rocking toilet is a different concern: movement at the base stresses the wax seal, and once that seal fails, water can get into the subfloor with every flush. If the floor near the base already feels soft, that process may already be underway.
No. BPM can supply a replacement toilet — you don’t need to make a hardware store run before calling. If you already have a toilet you’ve purchased, they can install that instead. Either way works.
Most repairs — fill valve, flapper, supply line, wax ring — are done in a single visit, typically within an hour or two depending on access and what the job turns up. A full toilet swap, from removing the old fixture to installing and testing the new one, usually runs two to three hours. In most cases the toilet is back in service the same day BPM comes out.
Generally, if a toilet is 20-plus years old and needs a repair that costs more than a third to half of what a new toilet and installation would run, replacement is usually the better call — especially if this isn’t the first repair in recent years. Older toilets also use significantly more water per flush than current models, so replacement can reduce your water bill over time. BPM will tell you where your toilet falls on that line when they assess it.
If the toilet is leaking at the base or overflowing, shut off the supply valve — it’s the small oval valve on the wall behind the toilet, and turning it clockwise stops the water flow. For a running toilet that isn’t leaking, you can leave the water on but lift the tank lid and check whether the float arm is stuck; pushing it down sometimes stops the running temporarily. If the floor near the base already feels soft or discolored, keep foot traffic off that area until the plumber can assess it.
